Northumberland for Youth assists individuals under the age of 30 to identify and access community supports. Services available for youth include housing, food, personal supplies, counselling, education support and health and wellness.
The program is available to anyone under the age of 30 living in Northumberland County.
The Program Coordinator will meet with youth at the NCDC Family Learning Centre in Port Hope or in various locations throughout Northumberland County.
The Program also supports Students under the age of 18 who are receiving social assistance through Ontario Works, Northumberland County Community and Social Services. The Program Coordinator acts as trustee for students, assisting with the management of their social service income.
- A Youth Drop In Program is held weekly at the Jack Burger Sports Complex in Port Hope.
A Youth Lunch is held weekly at the NCDC Family Learning Centre in Port Hope.
An Annual Youth Concert celebrates the talent of our local youth bands and individual artists.
The Program is funded by Northumberland County Community and Social Services.
